Why are you dissatisfied with your current social media strategy and results?

Kathy Sianis: I feel that we have a foundation, however, we have not maximized the opportunity.  At this point we have the basics, but not the skills or time to develop interactive Facebook and Twitter sites.  I would also like to see us add blogging.  We are also struggling with the chicken or egg theory. Even if we maximize the site, the number of followers is very low so we have to strategize on how to build this up so that the time we spend using the tools makes sense.

What are the greatest obstacles holding you back from achieving success?

KS: Skills and time. The sites we like in the industry have full representation and have taken the opportunity to develop a reason for their members to look for them on Facebook.  We have not put it into full gear.

What would success look like?

KS: Success to me would be having a large mass of followers that are very interactive with us via our social media channels.  I would like to see our members taking the time to reach out and talk to us as well as share the opportunities with others, promoting our name and page.

How would a makeover help you?

KS: I am hoping that it confirms the direction we should be taking – steps to accomplish our goal. The advice should help us determine what we need to do and when.
